“This Koala is traveling through a digital
three-dimensional world.”
New York-based Visual Artist, Juan Jimenez, has been honing his futuristic illustration for the past couple of years. Originally a painter, Juan has achieved a closer connection with his Latin-American roots and how diversity, art, and technology are part of our daily life. His colorful work has been displayed in album covers, galleries and recently at Time Square, New York city in collab with Samsung. Juan’s work offers a perfect combination of culture and dimensional experiences.
We sat down with Pincel Galactico to talk about his poster.
Q: Who is Pincel Galactico?
A: Pincel is the persona that creates the paintings.
Q: Is there a story to your recent Koala piece.
A: Yes, I was terrified of all the fires in Australia. I want to pay tribute to all of them who have died.
Q: Why does the koala have glasses on?
A: Stemming from the futuristic style I believe that Koalas are resilient and their species will continue to survive.
Q: So all your personas live in an alternate reality? Do you feel part of their reality?
A: Totally, I control their reality and all the possibilities are in my brain.
