Part of our new series of workshops. We’ll learn the history of zines and how to make a collective publication.
Overview:
The purpose of this workshop is to self-produce the Sursystem 3R magazine focusing on the reuse of letter-size paper to create a publication that promotes sustainability and creativity. Participants will learn how to repurpose paper, assemble the magazine, and contribute their own content. They will have the opportunity to share their ideas and design a page for the magazine. Each participant will leave with a one-of-a-kind magazine that they helped create, showcasing their dedication to sustainability and resourcefulness. The workshop aims to inspire attendees to continue practicing reuse and recycling techniques in their daily lives, transforming waste materials into useful items for their homes or offices.
Through this self-produced edition, we aim to not only promote reuse and recycling but also education through hands-on DIY activities. By engaging in creating independent printed publications, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the significance of self-management and collective collaboration in achieving a sustainable future. Emphasizing the concept of circular consumption, we encourage participants to reconsider the value of materials that are often discarded, highlighting their potential for new life and purpose. Together, we can transform waste into meaningful resources, fostering a culture of innovation and responsible consumption.
