Déjà Vu is back to Our Wicked Lady this August with a special treat. We got the folks of Terapia NYC to join the party and they will be bringing all the Champeta and Verbena tunes to the Rooftop of Our Wicked Lady. Be ready for a party full of Afro-Colombian music from the Caribbean coast as a bridge to Africa in a back and forth musical trip like no other in Brooklyn.

Soukous, Merengue, Highlife, Afrobeats, Soca, Kompa, Cumbia and more international rhythms will guide your feet to the dance floor and keep you there sweating the night away.

Madame Vacile - IG

Verónica Villegas aka MADAME VACILE is a music selectress, DJ and cultural activist currently based in Brooklyn, NY. She got started in the musical world with the research of traditional sounds of champeta culture, diving into those rhythms deeply rooted in Kenia, Uganda, Rwanda, Mozambique among other African nations. She has used all those sounds and combined it with the Caribbean sabrosura of the Colombian coast to bring a truly unique style of DJ performance that reflects the power of nightlife as a place of joy and resistance.

MoDrums - IG

Morgan Freeman aka. MoDrums is a percussionist with a deep love for musical research, He calls New York City his home but has traveled far and long to study music in places like Cuba, Ghana and Benin. He is a well known face in our Barrio and can usually be found at one of the many events around the city featuring live hard drums and speedy guitars. Morgan has done extensive musical research and created rich content where he discusses music and the international connections found around the world.

Sonido Monarca - IG

Julian is a Brooklyn based DJ hailing from Pereira in Colombia who shares his musical record collection with el Barrio to remind us of our roots. A percussionist with a number bands playing afro-indigenous traditional music from the Caribbean coast of Colombia, Julian seeks to bring the musical diaspora to the New York dance floor by featuring the multicultural facets that our communities offer.

Pocho100 - IG

If a smile could dance and play a Casio SK-5 it would look like Pocho 100 on stage. A lover and positive vibration dealer who inherited happiness from his grandfather, Ralphy Cien, back in el Barrio Rebolo in Barranquilla Colombia. Be ready to receive a flash of joy when Pocho gets on stage.
