Laura se Fue
Laura Sanchez is an NYC-based journalist, vinyl collector and DJ, born and raised in San Diego. Her work highlights Latinx artists that are changing representation locally and in mainstream media. She incorporates her love for storytelling into her music selection by collecting records—from '70s cumbias to disco-funk— that continue to bridge old and new subcultures.
Paway
Paway is a DJ and a house dancer from Queens and Cuenca, Ecuador. Since 2009, his entry point in house dance culture was at 5Pointz, the graffiti mecca. In 2017, Paway started his DJ journey, mainly playing in restaurants, bars and venues in Bushwick, Brooklyn such as La Lupe Cantina, Rebecca's and Starr bar. He is one of the co-founders of "Cuchara de Palo", a collective that caters to the Andean Diaspora through parties, livestreams and mixes in Soundcloud and YouTube. As an effort to bring more events to Queens, In 2020 and 2021, Cuchara de Palo had its first residency at Bolivian Llama Party in Sunnyside, Queens. His sound pushes and celebrates the Andean Diaspora and The City of New York.
