This was a party waiting to happen! La Clave + Hacha y Machete, 2 Salsa parties joining forces to create a super rumba on the rooftop of the Sultan Room. Salsa Brava and Boogaloo on vinyl all night long by Brooklyn based DJs who have been holding down the salsa scene in our Barrios for a minute.
Barrio Collective will be present with La Feria, featuring local artist and vendors.

Chicago born & Miami raised, Mickey Pérez is a first generation American of Cuban & Ecuadorian descent who’s been putting down the funkiest rhythms to New York City dance floors since 2008. A Brooklyn resident since 2002, Mickey represents & presents a non-commercial, diasporic sound irrespective of national borders that spans many different styles of dance music across Africa, the Caribbean, Latin America, Brasil & Black America. Mickey currently has a regular monthly show on The Lot Radio in NYC titled Bebop Porú which also runs simultaneously as a monthly to bi-monthly dance party in Brooklyn, Miami & Mexico City respectively.”

Adrian is Hungry and Vaiina have been hosting La Clave, a Thursday night party at a locals-favorite bar, Rebecca’s in Bushwick, featuring the vintage sounds of NY, Salsa Brava and more genres that resonated through the buildings of our Barrios back in the 70s’.
